Pop superstar Justin Timberlake charmed the pants off Kiwis when he hit the stage in Auckland on his FutureSex/LoveShow tour.
Near capacity crowds at the Vector Arena lapped up the raunchy dance routines and a steady stream of hits both Friday and Saturday night.

And the former NSync hunk sent fans into a frenzy with gushing praise for New Zealand.

“It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in my life,” he said, adding: “And it’s got the nicest people I’ve ever met”.

Timberlake also revealed that he’d been enjoying “giant” local strawberries since flying into the country on Wednesday with actress girlfriend Jessica Biel.

The lovefest was mutual with rave reviews posted online yesterday morning.

“It was the best night ever,” wrote one fan.

“His singing was amazing and the crowd went wild with every song.

“The highlight had to be when he sung SexyBack, the lights and lasers were stunning.”

Another added: “I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face during the whole concert and I’m still grinning now! He’s truly a legend .”

Timberlake also got a big thumbs up from Stuff.co.nz entertainment editor Chris Schulz. “Sexy, humble and funny? Pull that King of Pop crown down tight over your head, Justin. It’s going to be yours for a very long time,” Schulz proclaimed.

Timberlake and Biel are reported to be staying at Sky City’s Grand Hotel and have enjoyed a game of golf, a romantic hot air balloon trip and shopping around town.

The pair will be free to take in more of the sights before Timberlake performs his final concert at the Vector Arena on Monday.

And he might get the chance to catch up with hit British act Muse, in Auckland for their own concert.

The band met Timberlake at the MTV Europe Awards last year.

“Apparently he’s a big fan,” bassist Chris Wolstenholme told Sunday News.

“We didn’t realise he was here until now, but I guess we might catch up for a few drinks after the shows.”

And the 28-year-old didn’t rule out working with the US star who has already joined forces with the likes of 50 Cent, Madonna and Duran Duran.

“Collaborations are something we’ve just never had time for,” said dad-of-three Wolstenholme.

“But I’m sure we would if we got the chance.”
