I’m gonna loose 20-25kg. Yup, at the moment, I’m just a big hunk-a-fat.

I did it

I accepted the offer for the exercycle. That's $225 spent!  Now I just have to work out whether I should get a pole.

I've started looking at flats again.  This time in the Hutt area.  With petrol going up quickly, and likely to go over $2 a litre, a move to the Hutt might be a very serious option, especially if Ants is using around a tank of petrol a week (over $80) and I'm not going to have a car, it might just be cheaper for me to train and bus to school.  Only problem is, I will miss out on work like babysitting and relieving. Things to think about I guess.

I can’t believe that there’s only a few weeks to go (19 days to be exact) before I fly to Aussie to go see the Backstreet Boys. I’ve been looking forward to this moment for so much of my life, that I can’t believe it’s actually going to be happening. Read more…

You know how I am sick? Well I got Chicken Pox :chicken:. Dumb stupid chickenpox. There’s even a spot at the back of my mouth. At least it shouldn’t be too bad because I had them when I was a child. Yes, thats right. You can get them again as an adult, even if you had them as a child. Read more…

Trying New Stuff

I went down to the shops today, to buy myself some more cream for my RSI. While talking to the lady at the health shop, she suggested taking sulpha (which our body needs for healing everything) along with the stuff I use to rub on my wrist.

It’s called MSM, and she said that within three weeks of taking a level teaspoon a day, the pain started to subside. She took it for another 6 weeks after the pain had gone, and then stopped taking it, and the pain has not returned. So I’ve taken my first glass full for today. Lets see if it helps.

I had some raspberry tea and honey last night before bed. I think it stuffed up my body aye. I didn’t get to sleep until 1am. Dumb because I was thinking about the twins that I look after, and some of the concerns I have about them. Read more…

Running Shoes

December 06, 2004 : Comments (0) : Add Comment

I`ve been having some problems when I`m running, and that is I get incredibly sore calf muscles, and the muscle that goes down the side of your ankle. It feels like I`ve got knots all the way down them, and I`m always stopping to rub them, which helps for a while. So today I was concentrating on the way that I ran, and I noticed that the inside of my heal (a problem that I knew about anyway ““ but didn`t realise how bad) drops down a lot more than the rest of my foot, meaning that when my foot lands, it lands on an angle. And this happens with both feet. It ends up so painful, that I feel like the muscle is going to split! So I`m really wondering if I should invest in some proper running shoes.

J@zz was in shoe clinic the other day (when we stopped in at Palmy) and I asked the attendant the price on shoes. He said to get decent ones that support your feet, you`re looking at around $200-300. That`s a massive amount of money. I really can`t afford that sort of money. But then on the other hand, can I afford to have a snapped calf muscle?

So I packed a bit of a tantrum with my shoes today, and because of the pain in my legs I only went up the hill and back to the house. I don`t want to run anymore, if it means running with that pain.
